Pale Bloom is a porcelain ritual set inspired by the restrained beauty of Song-dynasty ceramics and rooted in Jingdezhen’s ceramic craft tradition. Each piece is hand-thrown from Jingdezhen high-white clay, forming a clean, luminous porcelain body that becomes quietly translucent under light.
The surface is finished with our own mineral-based Honey Yellow glaze, developed to create a soft, pale-yellow tone with a warm, wax-like tactility. Seen closely, the glaze carries a gentle richness, like polished beeswax or softened jade: smooth, even, and quietly luminous rather than glossy or bright.
The floral reliefs are carved by hand using a Song-inspired semi-relief knife-carving technique. The cuts shift between deeper and shallower lines, creating a rhythm of presence and absence, density and lightness. Under illumination, the porcelain body glows through the carved pattern, revealing the decoration like a painting unfolding in light.
Composed of a Gaiwan (litted cup), a fairness cup (tea serving pitche), a tea boat, a footed teacup, two teacups, a shallow dish, and a white flower incense holder, Pale Bloom gathers tea, scent, and stillness into one quiet domestic ritual.
